Booking Conditions

Pre-Booking is Essential

All of our activities need to be booked in advance. To book any of our activities, please go to ‘Book Now’ to book online, call the office on +44 (0) 1534 638888 or e-mail us at info@valleyadventure.je

Activity Durations

All activities are based on a 1.5 hour session but can be extended to include other activities as required. All customers must arrive at the Centre at least 10 minutes before the activity starts.

Please note that activity durations INCLUDE time for safety briefing and harnessing where necessary.

During an Aerial Trekking session you will have a chance to tackle the obstacles on the 3m and 8m levels, and a turn on the Powerfan Drop. On quiet sessions you may get more turns, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Activity Pricing

All activities are priced individually and prices are subject to 5% gst.

Booking Confirmation

Bookings can only be confirmed on receipt of full payment.

Parking

Free parking is available at Les Ormes, and you can follow the signs to the Centre. It is a five minute walk from the car park at Les Ormes to the Centre. There is no parking at the Centre (please contact us if you or a member of your party has mobility issues).

Refreshments

There are hot and cold drinks for sale at the Centre. Food can be ordered to the Centre for your session or party finish time – this is arranged separately from your booking and is not the responsibility of the Centre.

Minors

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times, however the accompanying adult does not need to take part in the activity. Our Instructors are responsible for delivering the booked activity and ensuring the safety of the child. The emotional well-being of the child remains the responsibility of the supervising adult. Any discipline or behavioural issues will be referred by the Instructors to the supervising adult. 

 

 

Health & Safety

All of our activities may be physically and emotionally challenging. There is an element of risk inherent with all of the activities. In booking and participating in a safety briefing participants are deemed to understand and accept that these risks exist.   

 

All activities are supervised by qualified instructors. Depending on the activity this may be in house or external training and assessment by a competent person. These assessments are broadly in line with national governing body guidance

All safety equipment is provided. Risk assessments and insurance details are available on request. Your safety is our paramount concern. The Instructors have the absolute right to refuse participation to anyone who is deemed unsuitable to participate for any reason and at any time. The centre reserves the right to decide where an activity is no longer safe to operate for reasons such as weather.

Please note that some activities are subject to age and height restrictions and that there is a weight limit of 120 kg for all activities involving a harness. These restrictions will be rigidly enforced. It is your responsibility to ensure that all participants meet the restrictions at the time of booking. A refund cannot be given if you have disregarded the weight, age and height limits at the time of booking.

Every effort will be made to accommodate special needs. We ask that these be communicated to us at the time of booking and made known to the Instructor at the start of the session.   If you have a medical condition that could affect your ability to participate in an activity please make this known at the time of booking and inform the Instructor at the start of the session. If you have a heart condition or are pregnant you may not take part in any activity that involves wearing a harness.

Valley Adventure Centre has a zero tolerance policy to alcohol and non-prescription drugs and reserve the right to refuse access to, or remove from, the activities anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or non prescription drugs. In the event of this occurring there will be no refund.

We recommend that anyone visiting the Centre to participate in, or watch someone participate in, our activities is appropriately protected from the weather with the use of sun screen or waterproofs, and that they keep hydrated throughout their visit.

Clothing & Footwear

All of our activities are outdoors. Please ensure you are appropriately dressed for the weather conditions on the day. Clothing should be close fitting, and depending on the activity you may get dirty, so not your favourites! For harnessed activities please wear trousers or long shorts, and a top that covers your shoulders. Mobile phones and loose jewellery must be removed. Body-piercings removed or taped over for comfort. Long hair must be tied back. No flipflops, crocs or open toed footwear. Boots or trainers are best. If you prefer to wear gloves they would ideally be fingerless and close fitting. Most of our activities can go ahead in the rain, so please bring waterproofs during the rainy season.

Cancellation/Refunds

If we have to cancel due to adverse weather, or some other reason, we will offer an alternate date and time or a variation of activities. Only once these options have been exhausted will we offer a full refund be processed.

If we receive written cancellation by the customer more than 1 week (168 hours) before the activity is due to commence the centre will reschedule or provide a full refund. 

If we receive a cancellation by a customer less than 1 week (168 hours) before the activity is due to commence the centre will reschedule or offer a limited time gift voucher.

If we receive a cancellation by a customer less than 72 hours before the activity is due to commence the centre will offer no refund.

Paintball – No refunds for cancellations.

It is your responsibility to arrive at least 10 minutes before the session commences. Customers who are late will not be entitled to any refund or extra time.

If the date of validity date of a gift voucher has passed, no refund will apply

Children’s Holiday Adventure Camps

There is a minimum number of children required to run the Holiday Adventure Camp. If this minimum number is not achieved, the camps will be cancelled with as much notice as possible.

Activity programmes may be subject to change in the event of adverse weather conditions, or any unforeseen circumstances.

Holiday Adventure Club places can only be confirmed once payment has been received, and not upon receipt of the Application Form.

Promotions and Promotional Pricing – (Terms & Conditions)

Please note promotional pricing has its own set of terms and conditions of use and is not transferrable.

In booking with us you will agreed to allow us to send you relevant information about our services via email. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time.

Customer details will not be sold to another company.

The centre may carry out photography and/or video recording for marketing purposes. In attending your session you are agreeing that these images may be used for Valley Adventure marketing and promotion and the copyright lies with the centre.

 

 

Liability

The Company accepts responsibility should any of the services which we are contractually obliged to provide prove deficient or not of reasonable standard. This includes responsibility for the acts or omissions of any of our employees, subcontractors and suppliers. Save that as detailed below, no liability is accepted for death, injury or illness.

 

The Company does not accept liability or responsibility for personal injury to, or the death of any participant howsoever caused unless by the proven negligence of the Company, employees, suppliers or subcontractors. In addition, the Company is NOT liable for death, injury or illness caused by an activity outside of the Company's activities.
